Hello members! I have a simple flash application that was written for an HTML page and i'm trying to figure out how to get it to work in DNN 5.x There are 3 files and 1 file folder associated with my app. See Attached Source. The 3 files are: AC_RunActiveContent.js Features.SWF Features.XML The file folder is named 'IMAGES' and has 10 images in it. The basic idea is a standard scrolling-type image gallery that scrolls the images in the IMAGES folder and hyperlinks off the image to some URL if clicked upon. I put all of the files and the IMAGES folder in my CUSTOMSKIN folder of my DNN Site. If i run a simple HTML page (outside of DNN) from this directory referencing the flash program, it all works fine. I cannot, however, seem to get it to work in DNN (using the HTML module). My flash program does appear in the HTML module however it doesn't seem to be able to get my images from the IMAGES folder. It's just sort of stuck and says 'loading next image' -- which it never loads the first one. I have sent the code separately to Lee@DNN but i was wondering if anyone could comment on perhaps am i putting the files in the right place for them to be accessed correctly by DNN. Also, here is the code that the DNN/HTML module creates when i Insert/Edit a flash file:
And, i put this code in the relevant skin ascx file to reference the .js file: [script removed] The ConnectUnderGround2.0 is the name of the custom skin i am using and is the name of the folder i have installed my flash components. Any help by any one would be very, very welcome. I've included the source Flash for review.

Wow, why does the forum format my question to make it basically unreadable?? I certainly did not type it in that way...

I had the same problem before. I noticed I had some HTML tags from some error text I copied. I was able to remove it by clicking HTML tab at the bottom and removing the tabs.
With that said I have a similar issue and are curious to see the solution.

OK, so i commented out my AC_RunActiveContent.js file and my HTML module runs the same -- telling me that the HTML module is not reading my .js file.
Where/Why/How do i get the HTML module to recognize my .js file?? I must not have it in the right place, or i need to reference it in some other file, but where? which one?
It doesn't seem to find it even when i reference the .js in the skin.ascx i am using for the test page i have the HTML module with my Flash in.

I commented on another post you made. Here is some more.
You probably will be more successful if you place the images in a directory off of the portal's root directory using the File Manager. DotNetNuke modules generally don't know where the skin is located, but they do know where the portal's root is.
You didn't say where you put the .js files. I'd try placing them in the portal's directory tree, too, and then you'll need to refer to the files in a javascript reference in a script tag. You can usually do this by placing the script and javascript references in the header of the module that you are using. If you want it to appear in a very specific location, use Will Strohl's module to inject it into the skin (willstrohl.com).
You are probably going to have to fiddle a bit to get all of the paths correct. When I'm having trouble, I will specify absolute URLs to make sure that things are working, and then move toward relative URLs.
Learn to use the javascript debugging tools that come with IE and Chrome, or add Firebug to Firefox. This will greatly help your troubleshooting as you'll be able to set breakpoints and examine variable to see exactly what is happening.

you will probably have to hard code location of the files in the flash file itself, like "Portals/0/flash/flash1.swf" etc. Since the pages are dynamic, this tends to work the best...
