Hello, I have DNN 5.2 installed at GoDaddy (and form what I've seen, I know GoDaddy can sometimes be problematic..) Anyhow, I've tried repeatedly to get the FILE action in OWS to upload a file and it won't work. I tried using the exact example from the latest issue at DNN creative, and I also tried the exact example from the R2i website and neither of those work either... Any thoughts? (Can't seem to find any errors being kicked out in the debug either)

Have you tried doing this on a localhost test installation to see if your programming is working correctly. If it is, you then know it is a problem with GoDaddy. It may be a permissions related problem. I do not use GoDaddy, so I can't really provide any further information on what may be the problem,

Haven't tried this yet..
VERY silly question, but assuming I don't have a local webserver or SQL server (which I don't), can I easily run a local copy of DNN? (Never tried it)

Hey, so I've checked around a bit more and found what appears to be an answer (but not a solution). I guess GoDaddy limits their servers to Medium Trust, which means the "File" action simply won't upload files (and a few other ASP.NET apps won't work with GoDaddy.) With that being said, can anyone help me with a work around? I'm trying to upload images and then populate the path of the image into the associated record of a SQL database (i.e. so that the image related to that record can be automatically displayed along with that record..) Thoughts anyone?

If you Google "DotNetNuke medium trust" you will find quite a large number of links. There is one site that says they can show you how to set up DotNetNuke to run under Medium Trust.
If it were me, I'd switch to a host that supports DotNetNuke better.

unfortunately that isn't an option.. Anyways, the FILE ACTION will drop images into the SQL database as a Binary just fine... I there a way to use OWS to then render these images directly on the web page? I'm sure it's simple, but I can't figure it out.. (Yes, I know SQL isn't the best place to store images, but there won't be that many of them, so I figured this will be an acceptable work around)
