Hopefully this is just a beginner mistake and easily corrected. I had a store module I was working with, but during an attempt to copy over product data to it in SQL I think someone corrupted something and the site started locking up and acting strangely whenever a page with a store module was accessed. I backed up my style sheets and templates and went to module definitions and uninstalled all the store modules. There was a warning during uninstalling one of the modules but I didn't pay that close attention. Now it shows all the modules as being gone but when I got to extensions to try and do a clean store install it's not on the list, like DNN thinks the store is still installed. What do I do? EDIT: Just add another module I have no plans on using, then removed it via module definitions. It, too, is no longer listed on my available list. So it looks like the warning wasn't the issue. What am I doing wrong?

When you install an available extension, it installs it from a zip file that is already uploaded to your DNN installation (exactly the same as when you install a 3rd party module). When you install a core module, it uses that zip file to install the module, hence once its installed the zip file no longer exists.

So, you can simply look into the files for an install version of DNN that you download from dotnetnuke.com
Go to:

Install folder / Module

and in there you will see all of the core module zip files listed as Resource files

You can upload one of them via FTP to the same location on your live website and it will then be available to install

OR

copy the module resource file to your MyDocuments, and then rename it to a .zip file - you can then install it using the install module method as you would for a third party module.
