I have a manifest issue where the "Import Module Definition" says "Installation successful".

But I do not see the what should be a newly created "DesktopModules/MBS2/MBS_Maint"
folder, and of course I dont see the .ascx files that should be added either ?
I took this mainifest from the report module and just put in what I needed.

I also tried several others including one that works as a PA Zip ?
Could my "Import Module Definition" be broken ?

OK, I think I found the problem.  I am confused about when directories and subdirectories get created as a result of the Manifest. 
    I thought that if you coded the directories and subdirectories you wanted to use in the manifest, then if they were not there, they would be created. I think this is true as long as the directories and subdirectories are the ones that you are already useing in your project (or proposed module package). 
    Its just that when I used a PA Zip, if I remember correctly,  all I had to do was put all the files involved in one folder and the manifest created the directories and subdirectories ?

Be aware, too, that there are differences added to packaging for Version 5 of DotNetNuke.

      That was a great article by Mike on creating a zip, and installing a module. I have seen that one.

       My questions are .....

1)       When you use a zip PA, you need to use the "Install Module".  Before you do, all elements of the application are in a zip file. In this zip file there may not be any folders at all. In your manifest, you THEN code the foldername and file name (the directory and even subdirectory) structure that you wish to be created in your DesktopModule folder when the manifest runs ?

 2)       When you use "Import a module". The file and folder coding in the manifest is a reflection of the folders and directory structure you ALREADY have in your development environment and it will RECREATE what that structure is in your DesktopModules folder ?
