 I'm using blog module in my site. I want to collect some email id from the user
and i need to send mails to the collective id's when a new blog or blog entry created. Is there any default module for this functionality or else i need to go up with the coding

I can't find a method to do this without coding, however this could be a possible workaround.

Make sure that the RSS feed for the blog module is working correctly, and then go to http://feedburner.google.com

Use this service to create a feedburner RSS feed from your blog RSS feed.

Once you have created a feedburner account, go to the publicise tab and in there you can select to publicise via e-mail.

So, whenever a new blog post is created and your RSS feed is updated, feedburner will then e-mail the updated item.

To distribute to several e-mails, I would setup one e-mail address that auto forwards the email it receives to all of the collective e-mail IDs you require, so you then only need to set up feedburner to e-mail to one single e-mail address which will then forward this update to all of your collective IDs.

Thanks for your solution. I have start the coding now i can able to send the mails. But i need to send the details of the particular blog along with the mail.

How can i get the Blog title and Description from the User control file (EditBlog.ascx & EditEntry.ascx). But i cant able to see the code behind file for these two files(EditBlog.ascx.vb & EditEntry.ascx.vb). Can u please guide me. Its really really urgent. If this is not possible i need to go with your solution.
