I was hoping for a review/ comparision between the many 3rd party Mail List Managers/ interfaces out there.

Two I have shortlisted are the
Axon 4 system by OnyaTech ; and
Advanced Email & News Manager 2.7 by dnn-modules

Another simpler one is
Mailing List Subscribe by Efficion

And of course there it the DNN one.

I am aiming to resell the mail list provision with an addon module/ functionality, so I will need something I can "get into"

What is the opinions out there on these systems, maybe another suggestion?

I use Axon and are very satisfied. One advantage to Onyatech is everything is offered on a subscription basis and you get access to a very powerful SigmaPro project management module, a new CRM module due out soon, and H20 (an extremely useful form designer).
