Hi,
I am trying to fix the width for one column in a user defined table. I have looked at ths XSL generation but when I do this I loose the column headers that you can click on to sort.
Is there an easy way to do this. I have 4 columns - one date, one url, two text, all need to be sortable from the header but the date width either needs to be fixed or a nowrap added in.
Any ideas would be gratefully received

I have just done a quick experiment with this, and could set a width for a column

Go to manage user-defined table
Display settings
select user-defined XSL transformation
click on generate new

This will create a table with the various tokens, here you can specify the width
 < td width="200px" >[Date_UDT_Value]< / td>

Expand the options link
tick 'add sorting support to the stylesheet'

Click on the generate from HTML template button

Enter a file name and click on save file and return

In the display settings, make sure the new file you have created is selected on the user-defined XSL file.

Click on the save settings and return link

Thanks Lee, I appreciate you having a look. I have got this to work but I  loose the table headers and can't see how to get them back automatically ? Did your headers stay ?

looking at it my headers disappeared as well - I tried adding an additional header section to the table code, but it just repeats the headers above each table item. This could be worth asking the question in the main DotNetNuke forum in the UDT project area.

In case anyone else is looking for the answer to this, I have been able to add the headers back in but can't get them to be clickable at the moment. To add the headers in

Search the XSL Script for the template responsible for "/udt:UserDefinedTable", add a header row directly after the < table > tag

If I manage to create the clicks I'll post back but apparently v5 of UDT will have this feature
