How can i edit any module from front end

hi I want to Edit the content of any module from front end i set the permissions ( edit permission to all ) still i m not getting the edit icon in front end any idea ....

ok if i added an text html . now i want to fill into that have to log in ,but i want that any one visiting site can able to edit data without log in (from front end) ... I belive it is possible through the proper permission so in settings of that module i set the permission to all .. now in front end it shows two radio button on left top ( veiw & edit) but as soon as click on edit, page refreshes and it goes back to veiw as per my knowledge as their are two button appears in front end (veiw and edit ) so edit should be possible through front end please guide

hello, I have just tested this and can see exactly the same as you, I suspect the core team have set this up for security reasons. If you want users to contribute content to the site without logging in perhaps you could use something like a chat module?
