Thank you so much for your quick replies. I have installed a new version of XP pro service pack 2.
And I have followed your advice. I found NETWORK instead of ASP.NET, and enabled it...I've actually done the whole process 3 times now, with the same sad outcome, I get following as soon as i try to install DNN:
