I'm hoping for some help to figure out what I've done wrong with my portal.  Basically, no matter what permissions I give a page or module, the portal admin account can't actually work with the modules other than the basic setting option (title, permission, etc). 

I'm not sure if I've done something wrong when I install the module or if I've done something wrong with the administrator account. 

Any help would be appreciated!

Does the problem exist with the host account, too?

If not, I'd check to make sure that your admin account is actually a member of the Administrators security group.

The host account works fine. 

Is there another way to check to make sure the admin account is a member of the Administrators security group?  I looked under Admin --> Security Roles --> Administrators and looked to verify that the account was in the group (which it is).  I also want into the user table and see that the user is assigned to the Administrator role

If the admin account is a member of the Administrators group, you should be ok.

I'm assuming that you can get to the module's admin settings. Is the check box that allows admins to edit the module checked?

Yes - that was the first thing I checked.

What I ended up doing was creating a new account and adding it to the administrator role, which for some reason worked just fine.

Good thinking! Obviously something is wrong with the other administrator account. It might be fun to dig through the database to find the differences.
