Unhandled error loading module

Can someone please explain this error message: Unhandled error loading module. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Unhandled Error Adding Module to ContentPane ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Portals.Portals.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.UserControl.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.AddedControl(Control control, Int32 index) at System.Web.UI.ControlCollection.Add(Control child) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- Why would an app be compiling without errors and then the next morning have this error when I have not changed anything. My hosting co is backing up their servers, could there be something going on there? When this happens I feel like my heart stops...please help. Thanks, Natalie

I restarted the app and it looks like it compiled fine but I'm still wondering why the error. ..my heart is still beating but I'm nervous about this happening as I'm spending 1000s on Paid Search..... Thanks, Natalie

Natalie, It's hard to say what happened. But, if restarting solved the problem, then I'd maybe guess that something went wrong that required the restart. I know that's not much of an answer, but ... Do you know which module didn't load? Is this the first time you've seen something like this happen? Also, check the site's event log to see if you can find a bit more information.
