Engage F3 from Engage Software (engagesoftware.com) is a free module that does search and replace. You might find it helpful, too.

found out the issue concerning this problem. Apparently the author of this replace and find module expects you to be starting with a subfolder time situation like say dotnetnuke/portals/_default/... and trim the dotnetnuke off for a root installation on the production server. I found another gentlemen having the same endless loop problem on the site that Lee showed for this procedure. Apparently the procedure doesn' work in one step whne you are working off a root installation and need to bring it up to a development installation which is installed in a subfolder. So for example given a production installation that uses the path of /Portals/_default and needing to be replaced with say /subdirectory/portals/_default for some reason just thrashes back and forth never doing anything. You have to do the routine in two steps if you are wanting to push it up from a root to a subfolder for example you might do the replace routine like so

[your replace statement] '/Portals/0/, '/subdirectory/Portals/a/' than do another procedure that goes something like so:

[your replace statement] 'Porals/a/', '/Portals/0/' and that should work as far as the text/html module goes but I have another problem in terms of upgrading which I will create another post for thanks
