Hi,
I need to ensure that users (guests) of a site are redirected to an "I agree / terms and conditions page" before they can navigate through the rest of the site. However, once they have done this once they never need to do it again when they visit the site so I guess I'm looking at setting a localised cookie. Is there a built in mechanism in DNN to handle this (I'm not aware of one)? Any suggestions appreciated!Cheers,Marcus.
Hi Guys!
Thanks for the repies. I've posted a qustion with datasprings....The problem is that this is a requirement for anonymous users so no registration is required. It's a financial website that forces everyone to "Agree" to a terms & conditions page before they continue. So they land on the home page and whenever they try to navigate to another part of the site they have to "Agree" before they continue. Once they've agreed once they don't need to do it ever again.Hmmmm..... Hope that makes sense?Cheers,
I did this for a financial company also.
I used session state to store if the user had acknowledged the required screen (hit the OK button).
The code would redirect them to the acknowledgement page if it was not done already.
I did this by modifying default.aspx.vb, but if I had to do it again, I would do it via a custom skin object, which would stay in synch with the core better.
