Dear Lee or anyone out there who might have an answer for me I am looking to turn my dotnetnuke into an ecommerce site now I know their is at least one cart specifically designed to work under dotnetnuke called khz storefront and don't know much about it. However I really want to try to implement a different shopping cart called xse.I don't know if anyone is familiar with it but it is a great cart anyway under the dotnetnuke framework I find I cannot install it as a module of dotnetnuke since their is no dnn file in this software neither can I access it as a stand alone folder within dotnetnuke because when I try for example locally to do localhost/dotnetnuke/xse or localhost/dotnetnuke/xse/cp which is the admin portion of the cart I get the following dnn errorConfiguration errorDescription: An error occured during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.
Source Error: Source File: c:\dotnetnuke\xsenet\web.config-------------------------------------------------------Now keep in mind that after getting this error I had tried to replace that sqlconnectionstring with a legitamate connection including server, database, username, password, etc... but still got this same error--------------------------------------------------My question I guess first and foremost is would their be an easy way of correcting this issue.Secondly is their someway of installing this software on a asp.net server running dotnetnuke outside of the dotnetnuke framework. In other words is there a way I could ftp the xse folder and have the host give me correct permissions on that folder to the live server and than have some kind of hyperlink within the dotnetnuke framework that would link to this shopping cart or is that even remotely possible? In the case of a dotnetnuke site where you have a piece of software not compatible with the framework would one need to think about having two domains on the same server one that serviced the dotnetnuke and the other servicing the shopping cart that didn't fit intot he framework. Let me know you all what ideas you have as I need to decide if I can logistically work with this particular cart thanksBo
