Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how I can make the logo go to a different url:
http://www.mywebsite.com
/anypage.asp" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">
http://www.mywebsite.com
/anypage.asp">
Right now, it's defaulting to
http://www.mywebsite.com
">www.mywebsite.com but I've changed my default page to sometime else temporarily (a splash page of sorts). So when someone goes into the site after the splash page and they click the logo, they're taken back to the splash page. I don't want that. I want it so that they click the logo, they go to home.aspx instead.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John

If you use the DNN skin object, you don't have a choice.
But, you could create your own skin object by modifying logo.ascx and logo.ascx.vb.
Alternatively, you could just place your logo with the desired hyperlink directly in your skin and not use the logo skin object. That would be the most straightforward (and easiest!) way to do it.

Hi Joe,
OK, you got me
I'm not DNN savvy, I'm looking at the alternative (the easiest). How would I go about placing the logo directly into the skin and not use the skin object? I'm assuming that there's some code I have to remove?
I'm thinking should remove this tag in header.aspx
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LOGO" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Logo.ascx" %>
Or should I simply replace this code in header.aspx:
<dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO" BorderWidth="0" />
with this code:
Thanks,
John

John,
You can remove the register tag, but you also need to remove the reference to it in skin. If you were to look at one of the DNN Blue skins, you'll find something like this (note that I've removed the brackets and replaced them with [ and ] for posting):
[TABLE class="skinheader" cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="3" width="100%" border="0"]
[TR]
[TD vAlign="middle" align="left"][dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO" /][/TD]
[TD vAlign="middle" align="right"][dnn:BANNER runat="server" id="dnnBANNER" /][/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]
You would want to remove the dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO" and replace it with your code to display the logo. You could use an image tag with a reference to the logo file.

1. Go to Admin/Page Management module.
2. Right click on the page you want to be the new home page.
3. Click Make Homepage.
