I defined a role and need user subscribe through paypal, the user can pay but the member service role won't get upate, the return url is invalid, I think the notify_url is the code to update the role status but would faill to acess.  I also fond I pass the url to paypal is not valide(http%3a/) ? How to fix this problem? many thanks.

I haven't worked coding for PayPal, but if I were approaching this I would look in the core code to see how they implemented the PayPal section for the subscriptions.

There may also be some basic free modules around that use PayPal, so I would do a search and see if you can download them to get hold of the source code and see how they implemented it.
