Hi Joe
I try to specificate my problem, but I'm not sure if I explain it in an understandable way
On my portal I would like to have a page named "Documents" (in will be in my root menu) which will be availible only to registred users ( I solved the visibility of it using your Issues ... but I have solved this only for registred users - not user groups )
On this page there will be 3 different segments - therefore I need 3 main user groups.
The page "Documents" will therefore consist of 3 submenuitems (each will be related to one of the segments) (submenuitem ~ "subpage" for short)
Now each segment will consist of "n" users.
Therefore I will problably need "n" modules on one subpage, where I can store those documents ... (or more precisely "3.n" modules overall) ... (if you know some efficient way of solving this, pleas let me know I will appreciate it)
Each user is specific and needs a specific ID because of his permission to view ONLY his documents (to view ONLY his document module)
Simply when I login as a user of the segment Y and I'm the 5th user - I need to see only my documents (the 5th document module).
I hope it was more detailed then the first time
P.S.
As an absolute perfect solution it would be great if I could use this feature in the page management system under permissions:
permissions are by default :
- Administrators
- All users
- Registered Users
- Subscribers
- Unauthenticated Users
I would like to have instead of this default set up following options :
- Administrators
- User group X
-- scroll button (1st till n-th user)
- User group Y
-- scroll button (1st till m-th user)
- User group Z
-- scroll button (1st till s-th user)
(Each segment can have different numbers of users.)
By this set up of permissions I could easily set the view/edit mode for each module/page on my portal
But this seems to me to be so complex for coding that it would take me decades until it would be complete.
I'm sure you have a better and more sophisticated solution for me than the one I pointed out.
