I'm a complete newbie to DotNetNuke, so if my question doesn't make any sense please excuse. You guys might be getting a lot of questions like these everyday.

Well, I'm an ASP.NET developer and recently I heard about DotNetNuke and that it's very interesting, etc. I'm thinking of developing my next project in DotNetNuke so that it will be a learning for me too.

In that regard, I just wanted to know if I can develop my own auction site - something like eBay - using DotNetNuke. Is it too much of an effort ? How do I go about developing this website ? Which tutorial do I need to learn ? Could you please let me know ?

I have all your tutorials till date, so if you can just give me a reference - which ones do I need to understand - just the basics part, it would be great.

Start with the basic tutorials and then work your way through them. And, only view one or two at a time (perhaps one or two per day) to make sure that the information sinks in.

I dont want to spend my time learning DotNetNuke and then finally figuring out that it's not possible in DotNetNuke - we've got real stringent deadlines this time.

Yes, it's quite possible ... but that also depends on your time schedule and expectations.

I googled "dotnetnuke auction" and discovered that there is at least on auction module available for DotNetNuke. If time is critical, you might want to take a look, and also at the higher priced options that give you access to the code and permit you to modify it.

I'll should also say that I know absolutely nothing about any auction modules, so please don't take my comments as a recommendation for anything other than doing your own research and due diligence.
