The problem persist:

 

I have the Andreas09 skin and the “Andreas Transparent” module in the left pane. Whatever content I put in the left pane module is pushing the content pane down.

 

This is in IE 6.0, I tried to run the web-developer-tool in Fire fox, and found that the layout is OK there???

The skin problem is “sort of solved”.

 

I commented out the Search Box in the HTML file, and the skin is now behaving properly.

 

 

I couldn’t find the settings for this search though, the “searchform” class in “skin.css” was commented out already

 

Consequently I don’t know what caused the problem.

 

Any Ideas???

Well, I would have suggested that what you put in the left pane made that pane wider and that's what would have pushed the content pane downward. I'm assuming that the search box was above the two panes, so I'm not sure why your "solution" worked.

You seem to be right Craig.

 

My problem is back, and I have now idea what I messed up to get it working for a while.

 

The left pane is 165 px, and all I have in it is two 125 px logos.

 

I removed all content in left pane, but I still believe the content pane modules doesn’t go completely to the top.

 

And, in host view I have the left menu exposed, and the content pane is way below Administrator and Host menu.

 

I believe it is the House Menu that makes the mess?

 

But did some tests:

Minimized the House Menu and set the left pane to 180 px – and no difference.

 

On the Blog page, I have the same problem but the centre content is below the right pane?

 

 

ANY IDEAS PLEASE!!!!

Which I could post an image on the problem.

 

The panes are overlapping even though the modules or modules content has a narrower width than the pane.

 

Lee, it seems like the content pane are “floating” Centred?

But I can’t find the settings for that?

 

I can narrow the content pane, but it still overlaps the right pane?

I'm not seeing any problems now ...

Remember it's a Internet Explorer 6.0 problem.

I'm running Firefox and the "web-delevloper-tool", but the site looks fine there.

Oops, I don't have IE6 available at the moment.

Bit of a progress – or not:

 

Just installed IE 7.0 SP2, and the pages with the “Andreas09-skins” works a lot better.

 

The only problem I see now in IE 7.0 is the calendar in the blog modules. Now it slips outside the page altogether.

However, with probably millions of IE 6.0 out there, I really can’t ignore the problem – although it might be tempting.

 

Isn’t there anyone out there that had these aligning problems with CSS skins in IE 6.0?
