Don't know where to put this in the forum section , therefore i'm writing you directly. First of all I would like to know what is the precise definitions of Portal because my problem is this : I would like to have 2 websites : 1st one for experiments, the 2nd one for real work (or an example from real life : one website would be dedicated to real estate lets say "www.biggestsales.com" and the another one would be dedicated to a medical company e.g. "www.medical.com") ... my question is : Do I have to install twice the DotNetNuke ? (I mean like in VWD create a new website and then complete all the steps to sucesfully install DNN) if so, my next question is : Do I have to install modules every time from the beginning for each website? Thanks a lot for answering my questions ) P.S. I'm an beginner so these questions might seem to you as trivial, but for me they aren't . The dotnetnuke topic is usually a good place to make posts, so I've posted the question in here for you.

If you are creating 2 spearate websites, I would keep them as 2 separate DNN installations because if you have problems with one site, the other will not be affected.

For 2 separate installations, yes you will have to install DNN twice and you will have to install the modules and skins twice. - I have however discussed this method:

which will help to speed up the process
