Lee -- I watched your videos on making a custom profile for DNN and they are very good.   However, what if I am wanting to do more with the registration process?  I have tried one of the popular 3rd party modules, but it still didn't allow me enough control.   The reason is that I have to request so much data from the user that I am going to have to use several screens and put tabs to navigate between all of them.  I also need the screens to look like the rest of my data entry screens and not look like DNN.

Do you have any suggestions?  What I am leaning towards is letting DNN ask for its usual bare minimum info (name, password, email, etc), then have the screen send it to my screen that asks for the rest of the information.  Then I will just have to live with the fact that the user registers into DNN before he can enter the profile information.  If I did it this way, how can I make the register icon (at the bottom of the registration screen) go to my screen instead of the home page? 

The only way I can think of doing it is writing a tiny module that forwards to a custom registration screen, based on membership of registered users.  Does this sound like the best way to you?

If you need that much control, I would lean towards writing a module to completely cover this and to not use the DotNetNuke registration. It will be possible to do this and also integrate it with the current DotNetNuke systems.  If you are new to module development then it may be worth placing a post on dnngurus.com and paying a module developer to create the system for you.
