I need to know if it is possible to install DNN to link from a flash animation. The flash would have several links to different DNN pages which would each work like separate web sites. Would i have to install DNN once for each link into different folders within the hosting?
I hope this makes sense and hope you can help me.

I've just read your email '
This issue is that I have a flash
intro which links at the end to several different pages. each page needs to
look like a new site with the top buttons listing the main topics in this
category and submenus as normal listed below. there are 9 category's. can this
be done?
' This will probably be best using the multiple portals method. It may be worth providing an example of the menu structure to confirm, thanks |

Hi,
Thanks for the responces and i have managed to create child portals which i can link to from my flash intro page.
I have an issue now around how to make the flash intro the first page that loads! Currently the default.aspx page loads which is the main DNN page. I think I need to make a splash page for my flash intro, but i dont want there to be anything else on the screen except my flash intro. The links to the rest of my site including the admin areas will come from there. Do i need to create a skin to just hold this flash file or is there another way to do it.
Hoping for help
Thanks

OK that sounds fine, can i do a skin with just a content pain? without any other formating ie admin header logo menus etc?
Also is there a way to have the flash file embeded into this skin?
Thanks again for your help.

I know i am going to look a little thick now, but can you let me know what the code for the flash would look like. I have watched the skinning tutorials and I cant seem to find out how to include a file when i create a skin. Can you point me in the right direction.
Thanks again

hey, is it possiable to pass variables from flash to dnn ? i want to build a flash movie that will show my company's works and on a mouse click will lead the user to a the specific location in the dnn system that show that work .. till now i was only able to target to a page but i'm not sure it's the right adress (../dnn/Gallery/tabid/56/Default.aspx) is "/tabid/56" a fixed name or does it get built on the fly ?? i know this is a long question.. but i'll realy appriciate some info on this issue..
