I got a couple of questions here. I am still new with this DNN thingy so I would appreciate any advise available.

1) How do I make my module text/HTML or Announcements to scroll the text automatically, aka marquee? Is it a separte module or is it something I can use the CSS to do?

2) Is there a way to display the sublinks of a main link on a current page outside of the menu? I am planning to display these links on the left pane of my page, so that the user can view the possible pages within the main link without going to the link.

Could there be a skin object or a different module?

I am using DNN version 4.03.06 and the houseofnuke menu.

Hi Gyfu

You have a number of options to install a marquee. You can buy one from Snowcovered, (but beware that it is fully compatable with your DNN version). I purchased such a module and installed it on approx 100 pages using it as a fancy menu, it worked and looked great. However to view I needed to be logged in as host. Visitors saw only errors. My fault I should have checked after the first page.

A Free marquee module is available, I think a link can be found on this site under Module Directory.

Or you our can install your own in the text/html module using Javascript.

Links: You can install a links module and specify the links you require.

Or you can hardcode them into a text/html module.

I manage to work on the links portion. However, I still cannot find a decent marquee module for free. The ones I found are all paid ones.

any idea where I can get a free marquee module?
