Banners and Vendors?

I have been trying to figure this vendors/banners thing out for the past day or so and it is driving me crazy. I had it all working earlier today on my desktop at work. Now I am using my laptop at home and my Banner Advertising is not showing up. I can see the banners but I can't add or edit them. The little "pencil" icon is missing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I remember the pencil icon mistake I made when I first started using DotNetNuke. - Has the pencil icon disappeared for all of your modules? Check at the top left, when you are logged in as admin, the 'preview' button - Click on it and you may find all of your pencil icons appear again. Thanks,

Nope that's not it. I'm able to edit the vendor, but then not the banners.

ok, I will have a play on a test setup and see if I can replicate the problem. Are you logged in as Host? Any other pointers you can give on your setup? What DNN version are you using etc. Could you outline the steps you have taken to set it up & I can then see there are any mistakes?

Hi Nina, Thanks for access to your site, I could see pencil icons to edit each banner. I would try going into your cookies and deleting any cookies that are under your website name & see if that fixes anything, sometimes the cookies can get corrupted and you have to manually delete them. - I had one particular install that locked in preview mode and couldn't edit anything until I deleted all of the cookies & logged back in. Well, I logged in on my desktop at work and the pencil icons are there again. I tried deleting all my cookies and any offline content last night from my laptop, but that didn't do it either. I'm going to have to research the settings on both boxes and find out where something is different. Will let you know if I find anything. Thanks for your help.

I get a critical error when I change the settings for banner advertising from None to Site or Host. I can't get a banners module to work on any page. I am trying to display my ad-sense ad. It shows up well in the vendors module. The banner module only shows up well with a module count of 0. If change 0 to 1, I get an error. I am working in DNN 4.0.2. I have been stuck here for a while. Thanks for any assistance. jb
