What could cause the HTML module image upload not to open? Whenever I click the image upload icon, it just keeps spinning and the folder and files never display. |

I haven't run into that. Do you have any trouble opening the file manager and navigating around? Double check and make sure you have the "right" editor selected. |

I could go into the file manager. I even syncronized and refreshed the files, but still doesn't let me open the files in the HTML module. It shows unlimited, but is there a possibility that there is a limit to how many files can be uploaded and over time this quits working? I am using the richtext editor selection on the "right". |

No, there is no limit. Does the file have an extension that is not on the list of allowed extensions? You can ftp those files, but they won't show in the File Manager. THe list of allowable file extensions is configurable on the Host Settings page. |

I'm trying everything at this point. Haven't found the common denominator yet. Just won't open when I click the image, document....to allow me to upload an image. It used to work, but I just don't know what is causing this issue. I removed all the files, I've replace the dll. I am tring to find a HTML Module replacement that want destroy my website when I install. I just now installed a new HTML Module and it does the same thing. So I think I have at least eliminated the HTML Module code being the issue.

I figured out the source of the problem, but not the solution. I added a url rewrite, because our marketing department needed me to remove the aspx extension. However, the rewrite is negatively effecting the HTML module. Now that the problem is narrowed down, could there be a solution to fix the HTML Module or find a different way to remove the aspx extension without upsetting the HTML Module? |

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. Had an appendix issue and some recovery. Yes, I'm doing a rewrite to the urls and redirect through the rewrite app in IIS, which of course, adds a bit of code to the web config. Below is a snippet of my rewrite in the web config file of my webstie. I removed the tags so that you can view the code: rewrite rules rule name="Rewrite with .aspx" stopProcessing="true" match url="^([^\.]+)$" action type="Rewrite" url="{R:1}.aspx" rule rule name="Redirect .aspx page requests" stopProcessing="true" match url="(.+)\.aspx" action type="Redirect" url="{R:1}" rule rules rewrite |

Can I assume that you have tried removing the rewrite rules and that everything works when you do that? (Glad you are recovering well, though) |

Thanks! Yes, when I remove the rewrite, everything works as expected. |

So ... I guess you need to modify the rewrite rules so that you don't break that situation. I have no idea how to do that, though. You might want to look into iFinity's URL Master module. It's features are being integrated into DotNetNuke and (I hear) will be available in DotNetNuke 7.1.0. That's due in the third quarter, I think. It has the ability to remove the .aspx ... and hopefully not break anything. I believe it is still available for sale until 7.1.0 becomes available. |

Does iFinity's URL Master module work with DNN 6.2? Oh, so it will be part of the DNN install? I guess I can asked them about the HTML upload issue to see if their Module doesn't break the HTML modules, the very reason why I would need it. I will see what I can do also, but I may have to make that purchase if they can see if their product doesn't break the HTML module. I couldn't imaging that it would. |

Yes, iFinity has been around and has supported all versions of DotNetNuke. It's probably wrong to say that URL Master will be part of the install. I think that it is more that the technology in URL Master will be integrated into DotNetNuke. |
