Customer login database - best practice

Hi, Our company has a large customer database with many tables which are joined to the customer table (Invoiceing, Payments, Services, CRM Notes ETC..) I would like to move our external customer database to the DNN framework. Today, customers are loging into our website to download invoices and make service based configurations. Basicaly the website has three roles (guest, Customer (which can do all of the above, admin (which maintains the site). How would you suggest launching a DNN based website which connects to our corporate database for user information (username, password ETC..) Thanks, Rony

It may make sense to stick with your corporate database. If all that you need it authentication, you could consider having a custom authentication provider built. Custom authentication providers are not complicated. Iowa Computer Gurus has an External Database Authentication module that does a lot of the work for you and you only need to provide some specific customization. If you need to also provide all of the functionality of maintaining customer account data, you may need something more extensive.
