Lee,
After having read about the FCKEditor and how configurable it was, I decided to upgrade to it for my portal. I found that there were some issues particularly related to image upload when using version 1.00.07 and DNN 4.4.1 so ended up installing 1.00.06 of the FCKEditor provider. This fixed the image upload problems but I am now faced with issues while trying to lock down the styles that I want to make available to the end users.
Basically there are several styles that I want to make selectable from the styles drop down list in the editor. These need to be the only styles available. Once I can get them to correctly display and implement (have the highlighted text display in the selected style), I will remove the format, font , font size font color and background color toolbar buttons. Thereby making it impossible for the end users (that don't know how to modify the raw html) to select different styles.
The following is the Css file that I want to use.
.Heading
{
font: Arial;
font-size: large;
font-weight:bold;
color:#000066;
}
.HeadingOrange
{
font: Arial;
font-size: large;
font-weight:normal;
color:#FF9900;
}
.SubHeading
{
font: Arial;
font-size:medium;
font-weight:bold;
color:#000066;
}
.SubHeadingOrange
{
font: Arial;
font-size: medium;
font-weight:normal;
color:#FF9900;
}
.ImportanPoint
{
font: Arial;
font-size:x-small;
font-weight:bold;
color:#000066;
}
.ImportantPointOrange
{
font: Arial;
font-size:x-small;
font-weight:bold;
color:#FF9900;
}
.BodyCopy
{
font: Arial;
font-size:x-small;
font-weight:normal;
color:#000066;
}
Can you PLEASE let me know what I have to do the implement these styles and these style alone.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
If you follow the FCK editor video tutorial it walks you through how to create a styles.XML file - This is what you need to create.
You add the CSS that you have detailed above into your skin.CSS file and in the styles.XML file you detail the HTML code that is added to the text HTML module when a user selects a style.
In the latest version of the FCK editor you can upload the style.XML file to a folder within your file manager.
Then in the actual FCK editor settings / List of available styles for the editor
Style list generation mode: select URL
Custom XML file: navigate to the styles.xml file that you have previously uploaded
and then apply this to the instance / module / portal whatever you require
Hope this helps, thanks,
Lee Sykes
