I found a very good tutorial on horizontal main and subitems in DNN Creative, but what about if you want the subitems to also show when hovering. The tutorial that I saw only needed to add the hovering to show horizontal subitems. Is there a DNN tutorial that adds that or is there an easy answer for this?

Part of the answer will depend on the menu that you are using in your skin. I strongly recommend that you use the DDR Menu, which is now the DotNetNuke standard menu.

You should be able to achieve the hover effect by setting an appropriate hover class. The exact details will, of course, depend on they menu and the styles that you are using.

I went ahead and upgraded to the DDR to make sure I have the best updated menu possible. What I would like to do is use the hover to detect the horizontal subitems and well as the selected to show the subitems. Does that make since the way I'm asking the questions. My customer has very strict guideline in what they want, but I blieve that I'm getting really close. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do your requirements fit with any of the available templates?

I'm not sure. One of the tutorials show using 2 horizontal menus with one being the submenu. This does exactly what I want. The only thing I need added is to show the same submenus when hovering also. I think the MSN site has this same stle menu.

If you could show a page as an example, that would help.

Basically, you can put multiple menus on the page, and you can use the node selector or other attributes to determine which menu shows which items.

will this work with menus that have subitems already? I have a hiearchy to concider with the pages.

Yes, you can do that by including and excluding specific pages from a particular menu.
