Hello-

I upgraded DNN from version 4.6.x to 6.1.4 and now the registration on our site is no longer working. I used the upgrade version path that was posted in these forums and the upgrade went fairly well. All the issues have been resolved except this last one- I need some help.


On our site we have two different registration pages that setup two different roles on the site depending on which one you register with. However, when you go to a page to register, we do not get anything when the user clicks submit. The screen refreshes and the fields are reset but nothing happens- there is no redirect. If the password is valid OR invalid, it doesn't matter. No error and no redirect.


The user does get created in the database if the password is valid. But again, nothing happens and the user does not get logged in.


I did change the setting in user settings for redirect after register to the homepage and this did nothing. I also changed it to and still not working.


I changed out all the skins to see if my skin was effecting it and still nothing.


I've cleared cache, restarted the app. I even tried creating a new page and adding the "Users and Roles" module. I thought maybe rebuilding the page would work...


Nothing.


Anyone got any ideas that would help?

From your description, it is possible that your site had some customization to hand the two different registration pages. It is possible that something there is not compatble with DNN6 or that some customization was overwritten by the upgrade.

I would need to dig around in the site to see haw this works.

Look in the event log to see if there are any errors being recorded.
