I upgrade by dnnv4.9 to dnnv5.2 but after upgrade i found one problem that new page can not be created.and also when setting older page i get the following error..

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

<%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:







Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.


what should i do..

First, use the second method. That should provide more details. When the error is corrected, you can remove that.

If you look in the Event Log, you should be able to see more details.

If you site isn't running at all, you can use SQL Server Management Studio to open your Event Log table.

If the site is on the internet, please provide a URL so that I can take a look.

Actually i used second method.but there is same issue.and another big issue is that haven't create new page[cannot work update link].

Are you able to log into your site at all?

As this started happening after you did an upgrade, were there any errors reported during the upgrade?
