I'm sure i'm over looking this somewhere but...
In the old DNN there was a setting where you could set a separate Skin for Portal Admin and was located under Admin>Site Settings>Appearance>Admin Skin... HOWEVER in DNN 5.6.3, I only see the setting for entire portal under Admin>Appearance>Portal Skin. While the setting for Admin Skin is completely GONE.
I need to have the Admin Skin different from the Portal Skin setting but i'm having trouble finding it.
I also tried Admin Menu>Skins>Apply to Admin
And it DID NOT WORK.
Please advise how best to get this working again or where i should be looking to apply a specific skin to only Admin portal instead of entire default portal.
Anyone Please advise for DNN 5.6.3
Thanks in advance.

The Admin skin has been renamed to the Edit skin.

Yes understood " but" as i was working on an older site, i noticed that all the edit skin does is just assign an edit skin in "EDIT MODE"... the Admin pages still take on the same skin of the Portal Skin. In DNN 5.6.3 it appears that you can no longer set "Admin" Skin pages without entering "EDIT" mode.
Before in earlier versions of DNN you could set the portal skin for and for a different look and set the Admin Skin default where The selected skin will be applied to all admin pages on the site and was not the same as "Edit" Mode...
Setting the ADMIN pages to a different skin proved quite useful because you could set your default Portal Skin without interference to Admin pages.
Now lets say if you set your user viewed Portal Skin as default, you've also inadvertently set the Admin Pages to the SAME as well which to Novice admins with rights to the website this can be somewhat confusing... so what i would do is just set the Admin Pages to a different skin....
Now in DNN 5.6.3 if you set Portal Skin now the look is the same across entire portal. The end Admin user would have to constantly check back and click edit mode. Before with the Admin Skin setting all they had to do is glance.
Sorry if I sound confusing what i'm trying to say if you go to a DNN 4.9.X you'll see what i'm seeing. I'm just having trouble trying to locate the same feature in DNN 5.6.3.
Since "Admin Skin" which use to set selected skin will be applied to all admin pages on the site NOW changed to "EDIT" skin which simply means that "EDIT MODE" is changed, does this mean the feature and ability to set Admin Page look and feel has been Removed in DNN 5.X ?
If it has i wish there was a way to bring it back or a work-around as i need the ADMIN pages to be different. Not the Edit Mode pages be different.
Hope i'm making sense to what i'm trying to say... so sorry if i sound confusing.
Can setting Admin Pages to a different skin be done in DNN 5.6.3 outside of "Edit" Mode?

Oh, thanks. I understand your question better.
You can go to the Host and/or Admin pages, choose Page Settings and choose the skin and container for the page. You can use the "Copy Settings to Descendants" link to copy that choice to each of the lower level pages (from Host or Admin). Or, you can choose a special skin for each of the Host and Admin skins.
