I have been trying to install latest version of DNN i.e 6.0.2.

Its been 2 days I am not able to install it.

It gives following error:

"Installing Database - Version 06.00.00...FAILURE ERROR: See C:\DNNSites\dnn_602_sites\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\06.00.00.log.resources for more information"


When I check Schema Log it shows :
"System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid column name 'guId'"

in CREATE PROCEDURE dbo.[AddSearchItem]


I have tried all solutioned mentioned anywhere on internet.

-Gave permissions to Directory.
-Created dedicated Login to database.

Finally i bought DNNCreative tutorials today. Even their tutorial tricks for installation on windows 7 did not work



Any suggestions will be appreciated

What does it say in the file named 06.00.00.log.resources?

Make sure that the database user has dbo privileges.

all logs are empty except DotNetNuke.Schema.log.resources which says


"System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Must declare the scalar variable "@id".

already created a new login for database and given dbowner rights.
Gave rights to IIS Directory as suggested in video.
tried Changing collation of database to Latin_ci_as


Checked database - And it created many tables thr but Installation is not successful.
Seems problem is not db owner coz it is able to create tables n stuff.

I just did a clean install of 06.00.03 with no problems (Windows7, SQL 2008 on a separate machine).

Your problem is in the database, given that a script fails.

I would recommend that you delete the database, create a new empty one and try this again. If the error repeats, check the log file again. It really should be there and with the error logged.

I Solved the problem....

When I use a sqlserver which is installed on non-english system (e.x. Turkish - Turkey) I could'nt setup DNN on any collation because charter "i" because Turkish support 2 diffrent "i" and "I"

1st: I Uninstall Sqlserver
2nd: I convert regional settings Turkey-Turkish to English-United States
3th: I installed Sqlserver
4th: I convert regional settings English-United States to Turkish-Turkey
5th: Use collation with "CI"
************Finaly you can install DNN!****************
