I have a customer who wants to link a small image to a larger image. I cant seem to figure out how to accomplish this in DNN 6.0.1. I would like to be able to change the document manager to also accept .jpg and .png files. Can I change the document manager or is there an easier way to accomplish this task that I have not thought of? Thanks,

Do you want to display the small image and have a link to then display or download the larger one?

For the question about the document manager, is this a question of adding jpg and png files to the list of file types that you can upload (this is controlled in Host Settings) or something else?

They would like to link to an image. So instead of linking to a document, they want to link to an image. Say they have an image on their page, they want to make that image a link to a larger image.

That is why I was wanting to upload a jpg to the document manager, which is not accepted. I see in the host setting to set Allowable file extensions, but that is not specific to the document manager.

I have the same problem. All images have been uploaded successfully to the portal.

What I want to do is use a thumb image as a link and when clicked it opens a bigger image in a new window.

I successfully added the thumb image but when I try to link to the bigger image through the Hyperlink Manager the bigger image doesn't show up in the Document Manager.

My solution: I have added the link to the bigger image manually adding the full path like this: /Portals/12/Full/Full1.png. This solution works but unfortunately I need to do the same process for several images.

Is there any other way of doing this?

Depending on your use case, one of the "gallery" modules that constructs and displays thumbnails with links to the full image may be what you want. That would also save you from having to manage the thumbnails and the images.
