Hi! Any help you can offer on this would be appreciated. We have a fairly new, still not launched website that is being hosted with PowerDNN. By default, search only indexes words with 4 letters or more. We have many three letters acronyms (TLAs) on our site that people will likely be looking for so I changed the Minimum Word Length value to 3 in Search Admin. (I also checked the option to include common words) Afterwards, I clicked re-index content.

The search returned no results. I went to Schedule, opened the Search Engine Scheduler, and told it to 'Run Now'. I then checked the history to see that it had completed successfully. (in about one second...) TLAs still do not show up, nor do searches for simple words like 'and'.

What am I missing here? Why won't DNN Search index three letter words? Search works great for everything 4 letters and more, and I know the site is re-indexing because I can insert unique words, tell the site to re-index, and searches for that word are successful. Thanks for reading, I appreciate any help this community can offer.

Yes, it doesn't seem to work. I tried a version of 6 and also 5.

I'll do some digging to see if this is a bug or something that neither of us understand.

(I tried this on a test site and it worked perfectly. I'm guessing that changing the parameters of the search indexer is what messed things up.)
