Installation DNN 5.6.2 on Windows 7 with ASP.NET 4.0

Hi all, Since a couple of days I want to install DNN 5.6.2 on my new laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64bit, SQL Server Express 2008. I have followed the video's about the installation with SQL Server Express and IIS. I have set the permissions on my installation directory. When I want to install DNN using IE with http://localhost/dnn, the scripts starts... ask for the type of installation. I choose Typical, permissions are checked, selected SQL Server 2008, selected my database with the user and password. The installation starts with Database Version 5.00 and does not continue. What can be the reason?? Any ideas. Thanks! Danny

There shouldn't be anything special about that setup. Does the installer just seem to hang while running the 5.0 database scripts? Can you then look at the contents of the database (with SQL Server Management Studio) and see if it actually did anything?

the installer shows all the time the processing blocks but don't continue with the procedure. Nothing is created in the database.

Were you doing the install straight or were you doing it from inside of Visual Studio? (I ask because I have seen this happen when DotNetNuke is running inside of VS.) Double check that the login you are using does have dbo permissions, though this should be checked by the installer.
