Is a master page child page scenario possible in DNN? If yes is there any tutorial on DNNCreative about this?

DotNetNuke does not use the ASP.NET Master Pages. Instead it uses Skins and Containers. Look at our tutorials on those topics.

If I'm not understanding your question, perhaps tell me a little bit more about what you need to know and do.

I have a current site i am working on... which has a menu and logo at the top and footer at the bottom. This shows up on all the pages.
The way the site is currently... i have to edit this in all the pages if i need a change. We are thinking to do the site completely again ...
hence i want the top and bottom banner in a common place so that i edit in only one place.

Again I am an Asp.NET programmer and i saw this in the code of the pages... (skins). I am not sure how to do it in DNN.

What you do in DotNetNuke is create a SKIN that has all of the common features that you want in your pages. That would include header, menu footer, color scheme, font choices, layout of the "content panes" into which you place modules to hold your site's content. You can apply the same page to the entire site or you can have different skins for different pages (one skin for the home page and one skin for interior pages, etc.).

I'd recommend that you take the time to review some of our introductory tutorials on the conceps in DotNetNuke including skins, containers, and modules. It shouldn't take too much time for all of this to make sense.

Think of a "skin" as a "master page" but with some differences (there's more to a skin than to a master page) and you'll be on your way!
