Morning DNN Creative,

Have an issue with the content workflow in DNN 5.6 PE and the ability to add pages.

This may fall into theory idea, but if I'm a content editor (not approver, like an intern), I can add modules and edit content great, goes into the workflow, and follows the approval process we have set up.

However, I can add a page, which could show in a menu or instantly become live without an approval. BUT the content on that page does have to go through an approval process creating a temporary blank page.

A workaround that sort of defeats the purpose is to uncheck 'add' on the page specific permissions.


Is there a way to include page creation to the workflow?
Or is there another module that should be doing this. Not very cool if this is the selling feature for PE, (which was one of the big pluses on why we went PE, not CE).

The workflow management applies only to content. Page creation, placement of modules, etc. isn't part of the workflow. You can control much of this via security roles and the granular permissions provided in the Professional Edition.

Also, as far as I know, the workflow management applies only to the HTML module.

Thanks for the response Joe. So what is the best permissions configuration for an 'HR' department.

They need to be able to create new job postings and add those descriptions, HOWEVER, we need someone else to act as an editor and actually push those live and double check the content. Where my snag is the same as above, the page automatically gets published as a blank page.
