I have 2 registration pages which means i have different profile fields.

How can i disable certain profile fields from showing up in the "edit profile" section? ideally based on security role?

Any ideas

You can mark fields visible or not. The will remove them from display for ordinary users. It's not something that can be done by security role, though.

I have 2 sets of users, recruiters and candidates. But DNN only allows one to show or hide the profile fields. If i hide Company Address this will be fine for the candidates but it will ruin the recruiters profile.

If anyone has a work around or some code to write my own C# module to display the fields based on security role i will appreciate it.

It has been a couple of years since I've used them, but you might want to take a look at the Dynamic Registration and Dynamic Login modules from DataSprings.com.

I ended up purchasing the Dynamic Reg module. Its really good, but i am refering to the View Profile module by DNN. It has an edit profile link.

A friend of mine said that i could add some code to specify whether the profile is recruiter or candidate.. If recruiter then show only edittable fields 1, 2, and 3.

I haven't yet figured out if this is possible or not. If you find a way, I'd like to hear about it.
