I am new to dnn and i created one page myaccount in dnn. Now my requirement is when ever i will click on myaccount tab it will open a different url in new tab. So i want to know from where i can set the code for tab so that it will open a new tab and new url in that new tab.



Please help me.It is urgent

Go to your mayaccount page and open the Page Settings. Open Advanced Settings and under Other Settings look at the Link URL setting. Choose URL and paste something like this into the Location box.

it is working fine.i write the JavaScript code in the contents of a Text/HTML module.I want to send query string with some variable data.Where i can write the code,is there any way to sent the query string to the JavaScript code in Text/HTML module.

You can include any javascript and/or jQuery code.

When i am logging in through the login credentials of dotnetnuke application. I must be able to capture the username and password details of the current(dotnetnuke) application and transfer it to the customized dotnet application hosted in a different server(and the application has to be opened in a new tab). There i must be able to check the validation of the username and password details relevant to the database of the customized dot net application. So can you guide me how to transfer the login credentials from dotnetnuke to customized application.

Are you trying to authenticate the DotNetNuke user against the user/password information stored in the other application? If that is what you are doing, then you will need to create a custom authentication provider. If you have some programming skills, this isn't hard. You will find a blog entry on the topic by Joe Brinkman at DotNetNuke.com. So, take a look at it and see if that is what you need.

Also, iowacomputergurus.com offers a DNN External Database Authentication Provider. It does almost everything. You need to provide a tiny bit of custom code with the deails of your external system.
