I
installed
DNN
(
06/05/2000
(
459
)
Community
Edition
)
and
everything
went
right
.
I made
a
backup
of
the
database
and software
.
I
began practicing
with
the
product
based
on
a book
I
purchased
on the
subject.
Everything
was going
right
until
I created a
new page.
As I
made some
mistakes
(because I am a
beginner),
I
delete
the page
to
recreate it
.
but
when
I
wanted to
recreate
the
page
it
went
wrong
.
As I am
a
beginner and do not
yet
know
how to
debug
errors
,
I
went back
down
the
backups
of
the
database
and
software
to
start
again
.
When
I wanted to
go
back
to the '
Site
Settings
'
gave
me
the
following
error
:
A
critical
error
has
occurred.
Object
reference
not set
to
an
instance
of
an
object
.
I
made
a new
test
logging
as
SUPERUSER
.
and
I had
no errors
.
In
summary
:
With
Admin
user
fails
the
option
'
Site
Settings
'
with
SUPERUSER
user it works
properly
.
I
guess
it's
user problem
but
I can not
find
where is
the
error
.
Please
help me
to solve it
.

Is this correct?
Logging in as Host you can go to Admin, Site Settings and see the page?
Logging in as Admin and going to Admin, Site Settings produces the error?
If that is the case, my guess is that something is wrong with the Admin account. I would try creating a new user account and adding it to the Administrators security role. Does that work?

Thanks,
This
worked
,
but
..
I
would love
to have
a clue
because
it
generated the
error
.
I can not
be changing
accounts
every
time
I have
an error of
this
type
.
Well
,
now
I
can
continue
my
self
study.
Thank you very much
for
this
solution
.

I'm not sure what happened without actually digging around in your site.
You might also want to Edit the Admin user account and verify that everything is correct, including security role membership.
