Hi, Xepient OpenSearch module is now part of DNN Prof Edition 5.6 I've downloaded it as a trial version and am able to get it to crawl my Intranet sites. When I input a search term into the Search Module I receive this error message in the Search Results Module: This module is hidden to regular users if there is no Tag=xxx querystring parameter Has anyone run across this in any other modules or have any suggestions to fix this?

The tag comment is related to a tag search, not a regular search. Look at the page in Edit mode and see which module is putting up that message. You may be able to "fix" it by configuring the tag search results.
(I know that what I just wrote isn't clear. But, I ran into this 3 or 4 months ago and don't quite remember what I did to fix it.)

You should see that message only when logged in as an administrator.
If you look at the search results page, you'll see that there are actually two modules on the page. One is for Search results and one is for Tag Search results. They both display similar messages if there is no corresponding querystring in the URL used to visit the page.
Mostly, you should ignore it. It won't be seen by users.

Thanks Joe, the error was throwing me off. I changed the security settings to allow all users to view the results and that also seemed to clear the error. Out of curiosity though, is there a querystring tag? Do you know what the error is referring to?

Itnreally isn't an error. there are two Kinds of search, text and tag or content. The message let's admins know that the module is there.

i am unable to search any of my pages i recieve the same error message. as a regular user recieves just a blank page. i have allowed all registered users permisions to view the module. i have also added the results module to every page and reindexed still same result. however any module that has a built in search seems to work fine but i need to have my entire site searchable.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking? Does search return no results? Has the Search Indexer task been enable on the Hosts, Schedule page?

Hi,
I'm currently running DNN 6.x and am experiencing the same issue. I've emptied the search tables and re-indexed them and all I get for search results in the message "This module is hidden to regular users if there is no Tag=xxx querystring parameter." when logged in and no search results when not logged in. I have verified that the re-index populated the search tables. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Tony

That seems to mean that there is no Search Results module on the Search Results page. There are normally two modules: one for search results and one for taxonomy search results. If you look at the Search Results page in edit mode and only see the one module. See if you can add a Search Results module to the page.
