I'm having trouble with the Search Engine SiteMap settings in one 5.5.1 install.

No matter what settings I choose, it always produces the same sitemap including everything under /Admin.

I've tried every setting on the page and nothing seems to make a difference.

Any suggestions?

Obvious question: Are you logged in as Admin?

When you are logged in as Admin, the Sitemap will include all the Admin menu options.

If you logout and view the site as an unregistered visitor, what does the Sitemap look like? The Admin options should disappear.

Logged in as Host. Yes, the admin pages should disappear but they weren't last time I checked.

The problem is only with the one website. I gave up on the built-in generatorl - used a 3rd party app and submitted manually. Hoping the problem will sort itself when the next release is installed.

I tested a lot of 3rd party video modules on that site. Maybe one of them broke the generator....

I have several child portals on one DNN instance. Without providing any sitemaps to any search engines the parent portal was indexed but none of the child portals. I have now submitted a sitemap for only one of the child portals. I followed the sitemap tutorial in issue 64. I was not able to submit for a single child portal following the issue 64 tutorial since the tutorial used the root parent path. So i coppied the sitemap.aspx file which exists in the dnn instance root to the child portal folder and submitted the sitemap in google. Google finally was able to read and upload the sitemap. Google has not used the sitemap to index as of yet. My questions are: 1) Are there any issues I need to be aware of in getting child portals separately indexed with the search engines? 2) Did I use a good practice in copying the sitemap.aspx from the dnn instance root to the child portal folder and using that as a path to submit to Google to request the sitemap?
