Since I have a security certificate on my domain, I need to redirect any traffic that comes in on domain.com to
www.domain.com
. I'm using DNN 5.1.3 and I'm wondering if this funtionality is built into DNN by now? I used to use the Portal Alias Redirector by Spohn Software on some prior sites for this purpose. But it seems to be not working on my new site and the product has not been upgraded since DNN 3.x. What are the rest of you doing for this? - Thanks in advance.

security is usually covered now for both (or perhaps that is only for godaddy, or only when you get the ssl for the non-www address, like "mysite.com" instead of for "www.mysite.com").
Anyway, If you are the only portal on the installation, just do not add the alias "domain.com" to the dnn installation but add it to site host headers on the website listing.
If there are multiple portals, you will need to redirect the domain - I'd try creating a dummy portal with the "domain.com" portal alias and redirect the homepage to "www.domain.com".

You can open sitesurl.config or add in hostsetting (friendly url) and add rules:
^
http://yourdomain.com/(.*)
http://www.yourdomain.com/$1
test on: http://netcen.vn/trang-chu.aspx --> redirect -> http://www.netcen.vn/trang-chu.aspx

also, if you have access to the IIS, create a redirect website (with a blank folder - I call mine Redirect) using http redirect - this will map all traffic from non-www to www.
ex: mysite.com/book maps to www.mysite.com/books
We use this when someone is dropping or consolidating domains or if they want to be sure it is merged for analytics!
