Hello,
I would like to know how can i use an already defined role in a page by passing a value in my ascx.
ex:
i've got a role named test.
i would like to open the page mypage with the role "test".
like mysite.com/mypage/Default.aspx?tabid=2020&role=test.
Is it possible and how ?
Thank you all.

The standard way to do this is by going to page settings and giving permission to that role.

Hello,
thank you for your answer but i think i didn't explained well.
I want to add different roles in different modules but in the same page.
I've already done this by modifying the modules permissions.
Ex:
role n°1 = web
role n°2 = design
role n°3 = print
i would like to attribute dynamically a role to this page by getting a value passed by the url
tabid=4521&role=web.
This will let me have just one page in which my user will only have the modules for his role.
But if i'm connected to this page as an administrator i will see all the modules in every roles.
I hope you understand what i want to do now.
Thank you

You can assign different roles to different modules within the same page. See Module Settings for each module. This isn't dynamic, though. Administrators will always see all modules.

hello again,
Thank you but what you tell me is what i've already done.
My wish is to assign with parameters included in the url the role for this visitor.
I have 3 modules for 3 different roles.
So if you visit the page with role1 you will only see module1 role2 mosule2....
My goal is to assign this role with the value posted in my URL only with code in my ASPX.
here is my actual code to get my parameters in my URL (in my aspx) :
<% <br> Dim key<br> Dim role<br> key = Request.QueryString("key")<br> role= Request.QueryString("role")<br>%>
tabid=20&role=role1 will only display module1.
I just want the asp code to make DNN believe that the visitor is connected as a user of the role passed in the URL.
Hope i'm clear in my explanations now.
sorry.
Thank you

You will want to create a module that, on Page Load looks at the query string and adds the user to the desired role. You will probably also need to remove the user from the other roles.
This should be a fairly simple module to create, provided that you can write VB or c# code. If you need help, ask questions.
