user retrieve password by giving email

I am using 4.8.0 and would like to have users retrieve password by giving their email ( as I understand by the method below) _____ requiresUniqueEmail field in the web.config file to true ( requiresUniqueEmail="true" ). The web.config file is located in the root folder of your DNN installation. To find out if your portal enables retrieve password using email address check the REquiresUniqueEmail option under User Accounts Settings. _____ My Question is As I did not have the setting <requiresUniqueEmail> set to true when the website went live and now have over 1,000 users. can I simply ensure no emails are duplicate in the database and then set the <requiresUniqueEmail> to true. or will I cause a problem or even crash my site?? any help appreciated. That should work. As with most things like this, I would recommend that you test and verify this on a copy of your live site installed somewhere else. Once you have convinced yourself that it will work, take a good backup of your database and webdirectory and store them safely before doing the work on the live site. That way, you will be able to roll your site back if something goes badly.

Last saturday I was on the Inet and observed there - recover lost pst password. It interested me. But I have downloaded it only today. And I was shocked reason of it resolved my trouble quite rapidly and easy. The program showed me how it could restore account passwords and show the settings in Microsoft Outlook.
