New user to DNN so please bear with the questions if they seem obvious. Is it possible to create a DNN site when users log in are redirected to a personal page that only they have access based on their login credentials? I want to be able to use the Documents module to make personal documents available to registered users. There will only be 40 users at one time at the most. I would also like to create a page for an administrator to batch upload these documents if possible.

Hi I have been contemplating a similar issue. I am building a site with 300 members and again it would be useful to have a “page(s)” per member. There are 2 options 1. Manual Long winded – create a page for each user that is only visible by them after they have logged in. DNN allows you to add permissions by role or individual users. 2. Dynamic – which I need to investigate, use something like DynamicForms or Xmod and pick up the username and run an SQL against the database to pick up their personal information details. I too would like to know if anyone has a solution to this problem. P.S. You might like to resubmit this query – “Is this possible?” means people have to read the query – better to have “Can I have individual user pages?” Regards Dave

You might want to look into a social networking module. ActiveSocial from ActiveModules is my current favorite. There are others.

I am doing this for a non-profit. Cannot spend $400 but thanks for the suggestion. If I am able to create individual page and restrict access to those pages to only one specific user then that is all I need. Now just find a way to be able to batch upload documents (PDF's) that will only be visible to the individuals.

Take a look at the Smart-Social modules available from Smart-Thinker.com. These are not being actively developed, but are now free and open source. The members module is quite customizable in terms of the display.
Providing individual file storage is a somewhat more complicated issue. If you have the appropriate programming skills, or have access to some people with those skills, you should be able to modify the Pics or Videos part of the module to add more general file storage.
I believe that you can make a user profile private or restrict a user to view only his/her profile.

Individual file storage, depending on how exactly you want it to work, can be done easily using Telerik's RADEditor. Using RADEditor you can make either the documents manager or the file manager create a private user folder for each user. Or if you are going to build something in Xmod you can add a documents module to the profile page and filter the module based on userid. There is an example of a documents module in the template exchange area of dnndev.com.
In Dave's use case I would say Smart-Social would work pretty good. Smart-Social works much like Xmod by passing a userID via querystring and filtering all modules on the profile page based on that userid. So you can also build your own using Xmod. Pretty easy to do especially if you don't need the whole "friends" type functionality.
