As I understood Shaun Walker's post on DNN.com 5.2 CE comes with Telerik .dll that includes RADEditor. DNN is just not supplying a DNN build provider for it in CE (yet). This should mean you can download the Telerik DNN Trial modules from Telerik website which includes a provider for RADEditor. First move your 5.2 Telerik .dll out of the bin folder to a safe place. Then install trial modules. Last move the 5.2 .dll back into the bin folder and overwrite the trial .dll.
I only have a localhost 5.2 install to test with. If someone has a production 5.2 install to test this on please let us know how this works.

As I understand it, the Telerik RADEditor is available only in the Professional versions of DotNetNuke 5.2.

Just confirmed with Joe Brinkman yesterday that 5.2 CE has the full library of asp.net ajax Telerik controls including the RADEditor. DNN just doesn't include a provider for the RADEditor in CE. And you cannot use the CE .dll to build
redistributable
DNN modules. Therefore all you need is the provider which you can download from Telerik either in the form of their DNN trial modules which includes many of their controls packaged as DNN modules. Or you can download just the RADEditor provider from this forum
thread
. Make sure to get the most recent one that made the Q3 release from the thread post on Nov. 9th.
That said I am not sure if the DNN built provider is better than the Telerik one. At this point I'm GUESSING that the DNN provider IS the latest version (nov 9th) of the Telerik built provider. But I'm not sure.

Thank you for the helpful information! Please give us an update. I have one site that is to be updated to 5.2 and the owner of the site is quite interested in trying the RADEditor.

I am going to do a blog post with quite a few RADEditor Tips and Tricks. Until I get that done here is how to install RADEditor in DNN CE.
The easiest way is to use Telerik's trial modules install to get the providers. First, register and log into Telerik's
website
and download the DNN trial modules. Next you need to copy the Telerik .dll from the bin folder of your DNN install. Save it to your local computer. Then install the Telerik trial modules. These come in two zip files - modules and skin objects. Install the modules zip file for the RADEditor. Once you install these it will overwrite your 5.2 version of the Telerik .dll with the trial .dll - don't click on anything in your site yet as it will just crash. Instead take the Telerik .dll you saved to your computer and place it back into the bin folder of your DNN install overwriting the .dll that the trial module installed. Now you have RADEditor, RADUpload, RADRotator, and a couple of other new modules in your site. You might want to wait on my blog post as there are a couple of potential "gotcha's" you may run into. But for the most part the RADEditor will run fine as is.

As an update, this is now easier to do since Telerik has removed the Trial dlls from the DNN Modules and Skin Objects packages.
Takes 5 minutes to switch for the RadEditor control:
- Use the trial link mentionned above
- Download the "DNN Modules and Skin Objects" zip
- Install only the DNN Modules package (Telerik.DNN.Modules_2009_3_1314_DNN) -- no need for skin objects unless you plan to create skins with Telerik Controls
- Add the RadEditor Provider to any page
- Select the RadEditorProvider and click "Enable this editor"

Thanks for the information. I've tried it on a 5.2.3 installation, and it works perfectly.
