I am new to dotNetNuke, having recently installed 5.01.04.  It seems like this should be simple but I am trying to edit/replace the content of the home page that comes with the package.  I recently installed a skin and related containers.  When I try to 'Edit/Content' only some of the panes appear.  For example I can't seem to edit the left or right panes.  Can anyone help?

You must view the radio buttons on the top left of the page (show Control Panel of DNN portal).

You must check the option "edit" for edit content.

I am in edit mode.  I do see what I think are the control panel at the top with Mode and Page functions on the left and Common Tasks on the left.  Still only certain areas seem to be editable?

Any other suggestions?  Maybe the other areas are part of the skin?

I'm not entirely sure that I'm answering your question, but ... to replace the contents of the home page, you need to edit the contents of the MODULES that reside on the home page.  When you are logged in as an administrator and your are in Edit mode, you will see "Edit" links for the modules and also dropdowns for each module that perform the same function.

You can also delete existing module or add new ones to any of the panes created by the skin.
