Hi,

we have deployed our DNN web application.

We want to do some funtionality in all the pages of our application, what I did i included that function in Default.aspx page. So it is working fine.

I just want to know... is there any way to create module kind of thing to add such functionality.... this functionality is not visible to user.

I added this functionlity in page_prerender event in default.aspx.

I want to add a module kind of thing...

Is it possible to do? any suggestion?

Editing the Default.aspx page is NOT the way to go.

I recommend that you first need to understand how pages, skins, containers and modules work in DotNetNuke.  A good way to do this is by viewing these tutorials:

I know how pages / skins and modules are getting loaded... Even I know that.. we can add some skin objects and use for this purpose (In this case we need to use this skin to all the pages, else need to include this object into all the skins...)

But I want some thing like HTTP modules.

Do you know in asp.net framework, if you want to include something to all pages we can implement that using HTTP Modules / Handlers...

I am expecting something like that... is there any thing to use...

What i think from my experience is that you can create a seperate module for that functionality and pull it in the pages you want.You can view michael washington tutorials on adefwebserver on how to create and install modules(excuse me if u might have already seen that)...and than if u want module on every page...on module setting we can check display module on all pages checkbox....or we can add modules to whereever we want after installing it.....there is also other tutorial like http://www.15seconds.com/issue/050505.htm
