When the question "Why DNN" comes in my mind, it comes with some answers like "open source", "content separator", "database driven page".

Some times I will not satisfied with these answers.

Can any one help me to find some thing apart from these answers.

My question is "Why are we going for DNN?"

Good question, I use DNN because it is free, very flexible, quick to build new websites (I can get a new project up and running in two hours), there is a big community for help, skinning is easy to do, and there are loads of modules available to fill any function that you require.

The main reason I began using DotNetNuke in the first place was that it included functions such as registering users, security roles and setting up subscriptions.

Good answer. In my case, I managed to do in a weekend something that thought would take several months!

For me it was the availability of forms/web app frameworks like Xmod, OWS, etc. None of the other CMS's seem to have anything close to the capabilities of these modules.

Yes that was where I started as well . . . years ago I was building my own asp.net cms, I managed to get it to a certain point after spending several months working on it and then discovered I needed additional features which were going to take several more months. One late night at about 2 AM I stumbled across DotNetNuke, this solved all of my programming problems and months of work in an instant.
